AuthoritarianismSafety for Those Who Fear The Unknown
Our first experience in community is usually Authoritarian. Parents provide such hierarchical structure for children. Subsequently, many transition directly into religiously-based Authoritarianism, surrendering their will to the will of their God. This act is so wide-spread that we must recognize a majority of people prefer to be led than to lead. The Value: Rule
From Authority we learn the value of rule. Hierarchy and authority can be used for both good and evil. Rule can be either benevolent or malevolent. Through proper rule, we can sometimes decrease chaos and uncertainty, providing valuable short term results for a given group.
