AuthorityThose Who Desire to Subject Others
There are two sides to Authoritarian Governance: 1) The Authority and 2) The Subjects. As there are those who desire to be lead, there are those who desire to rule. Authority is unavoidable as power differentials are unavoidable. The Value: Rule
Authority can be manifest in benevolence or malevolence. More often than not, Authority substitutes their own will over the will of the subjects; this is rule by Malevolence and is evil. Most Authority convince themselves that they know best what is good for The Subject. This is most often just theft of life power. Of will. An Authority who keeps in mind and practice the will of the subjects, placing their needs above one’s own, is ruling by benevolence.
